Tar Valley Jaycee was founded in 1992 and we are celebrating our 20th birthday next year (2012).
We also do a lot of projects in our organization and few of them are:
- Selling and putting the flags every summer to Merikoski bridge. Idea is to get visibility to the companys in the Oulu region.

- Productive Idea Competition (The best fresh business idea)
- Joulupuu (We collect christmas presents to 0 - 17 years old boys and girls in the region of Oulu who are in the social welfare program)
We also do a lot of different kind of events to our members. Some of them are summerparty, creyfish party, christmas party etc. We also do few company visits every year.
Educating ourselves is also a key idea and we have had sales educations, educations about how to handle stage fewer, first aid educations, finance educations etc.
We also attend every year to our national events.

national JCI Finland was founded in 1957 and the first national
president was Curt Vasström.
In 1960 was the first national Convention, which was held in Aulanko.
In 1966 the European Conference was held in Helsinki
In 1991 the World Congress was held in Helsinki
In 1998 Petri Niskanen was elected JCI World President.
