The history of JCI Finland

Starting as "Nuoret Talousmiehet", later renamed to Helsinki Junior Chamber, a group of young men gathered at Dansk Klubb to listen at interesting speeches and to develop their own leadership skills. The national JCI Finland was founded in 1957 and the first national president was Curt Vasström.

In 1960 was the first national Convention, which was held in Aulanko.
In 1966 the European Conference was held in Helsinki
In 1991 the World Congress was held in Helsinki
In 1998 Petri Niskanen was elected JCI World President.
